Giving birth to my first child stirred an interest in birth work that I tucked away while pursuing other interests. These experiences, in addition to raising my own two children with my husband of over 30 years, have shaped who I am and the care I offer. My schooling includes a BS in Exercise Physiology and a Master's in Christian Education. I’ve had 5 years of experience as an orthopedic PT assistant, written and edited for several Christian publishers, led my church’s women’s ministry team, and over the years counseled and mentored young girls and women.

 

Being a doula allows me to combine my love of caring for women with my love of all things birth. Now that my kids are grown and building their own lives, I have the time and energy to walk alongside you as you grow your family. I’m thankful to have a very supportive husband cheering me on.

I want you to be confident in me and my skills and have trained as a birth doula, postpartum doula and lactation counselor with MaternityWise Institute. I’ve also had the chance to learn from two amazing local birth professionals, gaining hands-on experience since starting my doula journey. I enjoy learning and continue to study and grow so I can bring you the best quality care possible. I truly want you to have a positive birth experience!
